Launched in 2014, Jumpstart is Hong Kong’s first print publication dedicated to startups and small businesses. The magazine has grown to become a well-known brand in Hong Kong’s rapidly expanding startup community. Topics like crowdfunding, manufacturing, design, FinTech, apps, marketing, food and fashion, as well as local and international trends are well covered.

According to Yana, Hong Kong is an Asian Hub for startup business as the start-up scene and co-working space always grow exponentially.

Difficulties and challenges encountered making such magazine in Hong Kong.

Difference between online version and printed version of JumpStart

Yana agrees that although Hong Kong is somewhat oversaturated, the keen competition among similar business will leave only the strongest in the market, and there will definitely be more and more small businesses starting up.

Yana thinks both the government and the community have been very supportive on business startups, business can also form effective networks easily.
